The 16th. The Morning. 2nd Moon

The wolf gave birth to a dead one. The cub was small and white.

She was starving – pregnant…

And he barely ate in the belly, so that his sister would get a little bit of it.

There were not enough for two – the mother is very thin…

Mother Wolf-Death didn’t even howl. She licked the dead cub and wept in silence.

Father Wolf lay beside her, not thinking. He  didn’t want to think…

He’s strong… He was..  He’s old now.

He is big and handsome… The young Mother wolf chose him herself…

He wasn’t the leader. He liked to hunt alone… He was smart.

She wanted the cubs from him.

A son…   To be like his Father – strong and smart. And big…

She couldn’t…

There’s nothing to eat. And it is cold… So much.

They died there.

She didn’t want to live ..  And He didn’t want to live without her…

They were lying there and cried. Silently…

Until they freeze..

They rose high.

YOU can’t DO THAT…     These say.

And the wolves don’t obey.

Never.
